Each year at the beginning of September, Dansk Varmblod celebrates the very best mares and foals at the Elite Mare Show at Vilhelmsborg. The Elite Foal Auction on Saturday evening attracts spectators from all over Northern Europe and is shown online on web streaming.

Look forward to yet another breath-taking Elite Foal Auction, the most elegant and promising foals of the country, the most beautiful 2-year-old dressage and jumper mares shown loose in arena and freejumping, the very best of the young selected mares that have performed superbly in the regional saddle gradings throughout the summer, and experience the best showjumpers of Denmark competing on the outside arenas of Vilhelmsborg - a complete late-summer horse event for sport horse enthusiasts await you at Vilhelmsborg, Aarhus on September 10th - 12th 2010.

FOALS' FINAL On Saturday the "Auslese" crop of foals are devided into dressage and jumper foals, and in fillies and colts. In total about 50 of the best Danish Warmblood foals compete for the prestitious titles of "Best Jumper Foal" and "Best Dressage Foal" - colt and filly respectively.
2-YEAR-OLD MARES The 45 best 2-year-olds are shown Friday and Saturday, with the finals on Saturday at noon.
ELITE MARE SHOW About 60 3- and 4-year-old saddle graded mares of supreme quality will be shown and fight for the titles "Best dressage mare" and Best jumper mare" on Sunday. |

HOW ARE THEY SHOWN? The jumper mares of 2-, 3-, and 4 years of age are shown loose jumping. Type and jumping capacity will determine in the end who is the winner. The 2-y-o. dressage mares are shown loose and in hand. The 3- and 4-y-o. dressage mares can choose to be shown ridden or loose in arena. |

SHOWJUMPING & NATIONAL YOUNG HORSE CHAMPIONSHIP JUMPER FINALS On Vilhelmsborg as of Wednesday, September 2nd till Sunday 6th, The National Young Horse Championship Finals for Jumpers take place along with an exclusive showjumper competition gathering only the best of Danish riders and horses.
